150 Passengers For Antarctica
My travel companion and I had two days to shop in Ushuaia, Argentina, the southernmost city in the world, before the ship to Antarctica would arrive. We knew we had to board first once we spotted the white ship pull into the pristine harbor. We can almost touch the Horn as we pass it on the way to Antarctica. Continue reading

The Many Wonders In The Frozen Continent
Before making my move, I walked down the gangway of the cruise ship with caution and waited for a break in the swelling waves. I sat into a small rubber boat after just one stride. In a matter of a few short minutes, our small team of travelers got to bounce through blue shimmering ice chunks and even a seal taking its nap. I head to the northern part of the Antarctic Peninsula after putting my legs over the zodiac once my boat stopped along a rocky beach. Continue reading

Journey To The Last Place On Earth
Years of working in the Trans Alaska Pipeline, the Atigun Pass to be specific, has made this gentleman like the snow and cold very much. So this gentleman, a retired civil engineer, shivered with delight upon hearing about the plan that the local university’s alumni association was brewing up, specifically about an Antarctic expedition. I thought that it was such a spectacular thought. Even as Antarctica holds the title of being the coldest and least hospitable place on Earth, more and more voyagers aim to venture it, even the armchair kind of travelers. Continue reading
